The NHS long-term plan sets out a national vision for leadership that is both compassionate and diverse. This King's Fund live online event explored the evidence base and what practical and behavioural changes are required now and over the next ten years to achieve that cultural change.

this is a great and honest video about how the NHS is today and how it could be with greater compassionate leadership and culture

To be frank, thing with me was I knew that I have been discriminated many times but I didn't know what should I do especially when I am in a new country or what I am going to face if I say something back like being alone has had a huge impact on my mental health especially a fear sort even to go to work. But still I don't understand why we are considered as different.. only bcz we r from other countries.. When we come to the UK, we do bring n cherish our dreams to come true.. to be successful.. Not to be shameful. Please stop bullying. It matters a lot.🙏 Thank you.

As NHS we still not come away from comment and control to get the task done. The management, and leaders are in a path whereby compassion seems to be unprofessional, and they can’t present it to team members. Its not even getting the task done in the best way, rather getting over the day. The emotions, wellbeing, the psychological aspect of a person isn’t relevant, nor relative to the task completion in their view. In 3 different NHS setting, I’ve experienced bully, victimisation, discrimination, harassment, and it’s all about trying to do the task in a better, more effective, and efficient way whereby I end up standing up and speaking out. Its so unfair, unjust that, they pushed the blame and fabricated nonsense to stop me from doing my job. The toxic culture of power over other is damaging specially when the politicians in the bigger frame are tying to break-up the NHS and show inefficiency, ineffectiveness, deficiency to privatise, and/or bring pay to services in the health and social care system.

This will be the same compassionate Sam Allen who has been under funding palliative end of life care in the North East by 50% and currently squirming to get out of rectifying that decades old situation? Oh yes very caring.
