I wonder if his last play in the last game was a misplay? instead of deathwing which is pretty random results, you go eternium rover + magnetize zilliax + lacky to make it a 5/5, plus the scion. You trade the mech and a scion into alexstraza, and the other 2 scion into shudderwock. leaves a 5/5 and 2 2/1s on board which is slightly more power than before, but honestly probably about the average result you'd expect from deathwing. But you now have more hp (27), plus a taunt that will likely heal and give you 2 armor, plus blocking 5 attack. If the shaman still does the Hero power + kronx play, you're down to 13, but then you play deathwing + hero power to sweep up the board. at worst you'd leave a couple of 2/1s from that deathwing and 13+2 health.

This deck doesn't have Brawl, Shield Slam, Shield Block, Dr Boom Mad Genius, Dyn-o-matic, Omega Devastator, Omega Assembly, Restless Mummy, or Warpath. I absolutely hate Warrior, but this deck is something I wouldn't mind playing/losing against. It's not the same stupid meta deck that Warrior has been using for how many expansions now? I am okay with this.

After the Dr. Boom nerf and the change to how discovery works, Control Warrior really fell off. It hasn't been popular in months except for a week or two when Face Hunter dominated the meta.

I hate Blizzard for these early nerfs. They didn't even looked into other decks, they only saw Shaman being issue so they completely destroyed him and let everything else pass. Necrium Apothecary? Nah, there are no good deathrattles after Voidlord rotated right?! Scion of Ruin? Nah, 3 mana 9/6 Rush balanced enough. Dragonqueen Alexstrasza? Nah, it's fine playing 8/8 and some complete RNG bullshit that will ruin your entire games like Nozdormu when low on HP or Emeriss in slow matchup. + 100% guarantee to gain huge tempo on your opponent even if all the good dragons are missed.

I don't think this is totally unique, it's sort of like Dead Man's Hand games (in the control priest matchup). The main differences being you don't go infinite and your wincon is continuous pressure instead of fatigue.

I really liked your version of Galakrond Warrior. Its a shame that 95% of the matchups here in Brazil makes unviable for me to even try. I got the most success with the more tempo oriented version using the scions as removal tools, and surviving until the Galakrond saves my butt.

Why not use alysiana over barista? Or even use both. I've been trying this type of deck for a while(control/value gala warrior) and alysiana is really good in control matchups. The card that steals weapons is also very good in this meta with anchar and necrium blade

At 22:25, there's a cut that skips over a few trades. I found that pretty jarring, having a suddenly different board state. Had to rewind to double check what had traded where. Most of Jen's editing is absolutely top notch, so just calling this one dodgy cut out.

I wouldnt even consider playing Galakrond vs Priest. The game always goes to fatigue, and playing it so late in the game like you did just makes it harder on you. You could easily win in fatigue just killing every threat they play and armoring up.

I've been playing a pretty similar list. I don't have voon, or dragon breeders, so instead I ran Execute and 2 Elites. Along with changing Emberscale Dragon to A Khartut Defender. In my experience, against control, it's pretty irrelevant, since I win those games at high life totals, to not play defender at all those games, and when it does matter, it REALLY matters, like against aggro warrior or Hunter. Sometimes they just can't beat it late game.

As good a Ziliax is, it just kinda takes up a rush card that can be drawn and it's not very good without drawing it from Galakrond. Now this might sound like a weird suggestion but Arena Fanatic buff all minions in your hand by +1/+1, if you had a hand full of Scions they become summon three 4/3s. Is that too greedy as a replacement for Ziliax?

I am pretty sure if you have Kronx that you want to have the quest HP with Galakrond to get the 10 damage burst If you don't have access to Kronx I don't really see a reason to miss 4 8/8 with rush on a gamewinning turn

you can also play two quest. Dont quest at turn 1. Quest on turn 5 followed with Kragwa the frog next turn. After you complete the quest, play the quest again before you turn into galakrond. Count how many battlecries you play to make sure you get rid the galakrond hero soon after you play galakrond.
