A great interview, honest stories from one of the good guys. Met Larry several years ago in Chicago at a soccer game(!) with his family. He was just such a humble, nice guy and chatted with me and my family. Wish all the best for Larry.

I have great respect for Larry Dixon. Not only because of what he has accomplished, but because of the person he is. It is so good to hear a driver refer to the crew without saying the word "my". Unless you are paying the bills, it can never be 'your team". He realizes he is part of a team. I hope he can get one more ride!

Larry is a really great dude. My son and I went to northern nationals in Michigan. End of the night, racing done , we wanted a Larry Dixon shirt. I asked one of the crew guys if we could buy a shirt. Larry was working on a head in trailer, he stopped and said hello to us and shook our hand. Really great dude
@happydays81714 жыл бұрын
I had drawn a picture of him, he was anxiously sitting in a golf cart at the US Nationals waiting for Prudhomme, asked him if he'd sign it, he did. Prudhomme ran up, rushed him to the hospital, his second child had just been born. When driving for Al Anabi, 9:30pm US Nationals, he spent about an hour talking to fans until the last one (me) left. Never seen a high profile racer like him bend over backwards for his fans.

Larry Dixon we love you brotha. I remember my first NHRA race as a kid in Joliet. I I specifically remember the blue Miller car and being scared shitless from the sound and the echo coming off the route 66 stands. Hooked ever since

A truly wonderful issue of this series. IMO, the success of a person is generated as much on the perimeter of their success as it is at the center. His attitude is what makes him a winner, and who and what he attributes, is the wind at his back. I always liked Larry, but after seeing this, respect is what i think of first. He is happy and he has balance, a lot of people never have either. Kudos to him. Im blown away at how much he looks like his dad.
