Thank you so much, this is very informative. I'm a pharmacy student and I badly want to understand the Pharmaceutical concepts fully rather than depending on what is written on textbooks that sometimes could really be hard to understand.

How does ketamine work if it doesn’t allow NMDA receptor to function?
@NonstopNeuron
@NonstopNeuron 10 ай бұрын
normally the receptors are functioning. Ketamine brings about changes by blocking these functions.

Hello sir, how to know if the drug is competitive or non competitive, just by names?for example If in exam they just say a pt is prescribed Atorvastatin, so Atorvastatin causes what kind of inhibition? How to know this?
@NonstopNeuron
@NonstopNeuron 2 жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as knowing the type of inhibition from name. You have to remember for each one of them. Mostly the inhibitions that we see are competitive. So going for it in case you don't remember increases your chance of being right in exams. But in real life, you cannot generalized such things in medical field. You should know specifically what you are supposed to know.
