Rugby is still the national sport and the favourite, but many kiwis like myself love Cricket. Black Caps like Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are delights to watch build an innings.

@@Arjun-ej7fj Not as much as the One Day Internationals unfortunately, I enjoy the longer formats myself since I follow it through radio and television when I can't attend a whole test. Most casual fans don't have the patience I think. It's definitely a love/hate kind of thing as a whole in NZ, but I believe more kiwis are getting interested in all forms of Cricket. Especially since we have the best Black Caps side in a generation.

I'll be honest all that matters is we've won. I've been there before when we've lost and said that was unlucky or they didn't deserve it etc but this time we are the champions and our name is on that trophy :) Don't get me wrong, we were lucky and New Zealand played very well especially bowling! But our thrashing of Australia and victories against India and New Zealand in the group stage shows we did well enough and to come back from near elimination and win it all shows courage but also a lot of skill as well!

This was the most amazing finish to a world cup final ever and being English I'm still trying to extract my head from the ceiling! What I really want to say though is how equally amazing New Zealand's players have been following (and also during) the game. Luck wasn't on their side and that's all that really separated the two teams on the day, but they've shown themselves to be not only great cricketers but a bunch of fantastic human beings! Williamson deserves special recognition for proving that just because sometimes you end up being on the losing side it doesn't make you a loser! Great guy and a great example of sporting behaviour that puts pretty much all footballers to shame! If England aren't in any place to win it next time I'll be so happy if New Zealand do because they deserve it!
