"Here is how to remove Webp - Why you would want to do that? You should know!!!"

Compiling your own browser in order to block webp is crazy work, considering that a browser extension would be way easier to make 💀

I made one a couple of months ago, it's not perfect but it kinda works. I added a feature to convert all non png image files to png and remove their background automatically.

what pisses me off about webp files is that when you get one, but it masquerades as .jpg it can crash Windows Explorer while generating thumbnails (or just the thumbnail engine, leaving you to wonder why it takes ages to open any folder or why you suddenly lost thumbnails) or image browsers. If you have a bunch of images in a folder good luck trying to find the culprit

How did you manage to upload this vid with those internet speeds 😭
@ShyStudiosКүн бұрын
this specific vid was only 74mb so it only took like, maybe 20 min to upload. Dont totally remember because this vid was made in feb2024 haha.

@ ahh ok. Can I know what your video settings are to be able to get such a small file size on an 11 minute video? Like the file type and encoder and your bit rate. I’m very curious on how you managed this

@@ifrgot1 Since it's mostly a still video it compresses really well that is mainly how it is so small. I'm just using handbreak's h265 encoder with the constant quality rate factor set to around 28.5 and the encoder preset is on slow (which actually makes the file larger than medium but it is SLIGHTLY better quality)

Actually WebPs are 0.002863% more efficient 🤓

What should I use if I want lossy compression with an alpha channel? I'm not arguing, just asking, because I only know of webp to be capable of that, but happy to use something else as well if there is an alternative.
@ShyStudios9 күн бұрын
why do you need lossy compression on transparent images?
@iggusify9 күн бұрын
@@ShyStudios I'm building a tailor website, and I have photos of shirt buttons that I want to show on top of shirts, maybe. But anyway, questioning me when I ask a question is not an answer to the question. Do you have an answer or not?
