I know you guys have heard a lot of requests so far. But the one I want the most that none other can deliver like Melodyne (if ya'll agree)... Get ready:.... Allowing Melodyne to receive MIDI input to transpose the audio blobs to the played notes, in real time. Chords would duplicate the blobs to the notes specified (a seventh chord would have 4 blobs). Also, for arps and lazy chords, triggering within a blob, the transposing would be of partial blobs (from that point on). The representation of new blobs can have a different color or even a different appearance all together. Allowing Melodyne to transpose to incoming MIDI would be like (and better) that have such a feature (like AutoTune, and others). Also, this allows Melodyne to also be an new-age sampler as well. Load the sample in (e.g. by ARA), and then transpose the sounds to whatever MIDI melody is desired. Or you can just have it to retrigger and transpose a specific blob.

Comping is taking the best recording from your vocal arrangement or any section from the song that your producing and coming them to make a new main vocal for your song making it sound smooth
@isaiahhernandez23004 жыл бұрын
Comping is essentially editing vocals by taking the sections of all takes that sound best and mixing them into one track. Melodyne makes this precisely achievable by magnifying the signals allowing you to see each vocal action, note by note.

Above and beyond the technical product demonstration, in terms of this video presentation can I just express how awesome the continuous song scoring underlying this video (and others!) is seemlessly following the project file. Every cut is done perfectly. I would love to see how you did this... is the voiceover in the song project and then some elements of it are also in the video edit where you need to show the a project being stopped or looping back for instance? ☺️

This feature is unstable in Logic Pro 10.4.8. I've been testing it and spent many hours trying to find a solution after losing many hours of work. I hope a fix comes soon but until it's stable I can't afford to risk using this software on serious work. Problem areas I've found are recording over a comp, this totally throws things. Moving a comp. making changes to a comp after editing. Chopping a comp. Basically anything to do with comps is risky. If it worked it would be amazing, which is why I bought the software, but it doesn't perform as described. They suggest we should now use Melodyne early in the production process but I strongly suggest not to do this until you have tested out these scenarios and saved and reopened the test project to see for yourself if it works as you expect.
@celemony5 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter, we’ve already been in contact. Melodyne itself actually performs as described. The ARA workflow, however, is like a two-side communication channel and also depends on how third-party developers implement ARA in their DAW. Feel free to contact Apple and let them know about your issues with ARA comping. Thanks!
@sammix70775 жыл бұрын
I feel Logic pro has the poorest implementation of Ara unlike Studio one and cubase. Adding Ara in the channel plugin rack is very awkward to me. And right now, it doesnt seem to be stable in logic pro 10.4.6. Sometimes I'll look for Ara and I won't see it until I restart logic pro. I expected Ara to work the same way it works in studio one but well I'm not a software engineer, so maybe thats just the only way they could make it work in logic

@@celemony No, I was actually wondering whether crossfades on audio events in Cubase will still function when using the ARA extension?

@@HowAboutKaran Generally speaking, it depends on the host. They might or might not apply fades (and crossfades) to ARA regions. If you contact our Tech Support at support@celemony.com, they will certainly be able to answer your question in more detail.

Hey Avid, in case you don't realize it, this video, and every other one promoting ARA, is an advertisement AGAINST Pro Tools. Your users want it and they've told you so. Your protectionist corporate philosophy is killing your platforms. Your stock price and Investars numbers as of late should tell you something.
