@@kenvinfavo1533 Agreed. Human psychology suggests that we ought to focus on the things we should do as it is difficult/unnatural to think in negatives. eg. Don't think of a pink elephant makes you do it because we struggle with notes. Not trying to defend poor male figures but women do realise that they can pick who they date right? Like, instead of choosing the aggressive, domineering, sexist toxic-masculine male who won't let you out of the house, pick someone else. Again I am not bashing women but letting them know they have the power to decide who they want to date as opposed to relying on natural attraction. The same goes for men.
@Abby-wx6kl
@Abby-wx6kl 2 жыл бұрын
@@blueicer101 i think the problem is that when women first date men, a lot of them change over time to become the aggressive, domineering, sexist toxic-masculine male you speak of. A lot of the time when they've fully shown their true colours, it's hard for women to escape. Either way, each situation has their own specific details so it's hard to generalise as a whole what women should or shouldn't do in those kind of situations.
@Abby-wx6kl
@Abby-wx6kl 2 жыл бұрын
@@kenvinfavo1533 I think how you approach complaints is the reason it can be detrimental to mental health. Complaints can be important in order to improve and fix things, even though it doesn't feel great to be criticised. If everyone just avoided complaining because they didn't want to risk bad mental health, nothing in the world would be fixed. However I think they should be done considerately in a way that a complaint becomes more of a "constructive criticism" then just outright bashing, because outright bashing is just pointless and makes you feel bad and yes, damaging to mental health.

As a guy watching this I felt like, "Guys can't win! If we don't buy dinner or nice things, we're 'stingy', and if we insist on paying, then we're accused of disrespecting women's independence or being possessive." Exactly, well said. Their expectations are out of the roof. This is bad.. that is bad.. I prefer this… over this. This way they will never find a suitable guy. No guy wants to date a picky combative woman. Plus it seems like traditional roles are being looked down upon. Little did they know traditional mothers are the happiest. Their woman “independent, financially strong mindset” will bring them nowhere.

if every girl doesn't like 渣男,then where do 渣男find girls to date? also that girl who said herself is "ugly" is actually pretty cute. some girls think so highly of themselves and expect high bar for guys, only to be played by those high value guys, yet still not appreciate nice guys.

Love the Dongbei accent, but I can hardly make out what speakers are saying. They seem to omit a lot of sounds. Do they do this even when reading hanzi syllable by syllable, i.e. depending on the word, they may modify of omit one or more of the hanzi? I suspect it is similar to how all English speakers pronounce "her" as "her", but in some parts "herb" becomes "erb". Hope someone can enlighten this curious person!

He has a very typical and thick Dongbei accent. They tend to drop a lot of sounds, add "er" at the end of some words, and pronounce "zh" as "z", but "z" and "zh". For example: "kuzao", he pronounced it as "kuzhao" in the video.

China has a pretty interesting culture. I'm so intrigued by the 普信男 comment. I clearly understand the few ladies who were interviewed do not represent all the chinese ladies. However, the comment kinda makes me wonder why it even exist in the first place. I believe every man and lady deserves a healthy dose of self-esteem. And no matter how you look, there's something about your look that you can be proud of. No one deserves to be beaten down by negativity. The world is already harsh. Why can't people around help each other to make the world a better place? 普信男 clearly has a negative connotation to it. Ridiculing someone who thinks good of himself is really uncalled for. Has the person affected you in anyway when he/she thinks good about own appearance? Most probably not. So why belittle that person? And that is why the western culture does alot better than the eastern culture in this area. The parents brought up the children with encouragement and support- taking a more soft approach than to bring the child down. I am a Singaporean and I was brought up by my parents in a typical Asian manner. Throughout my lives, all my parents do is to criticize and always compare with others. Thus now as a parent, I make sure I give my daughter positive talk and facilitate self-esteem building with her.

Couple of things I’d like to explain from my perspectives. So called “普信男” isn’t really about self esteem but more leaning towards narcissism. Original term came from a female comedian roasting men. This is not Chinese culture. It’s rather a modern online “culture” which I hesitate to call it culture. There’re many aspects we can dive in to dissect why this became popular. 1) Douyin short videos exploding in modern times. Commonly it provoke emotions and different countries tend to have different points went virus. In this case, 普信男 is. 2) censorship on media in China. People tend to label things over quick as information and knowledges are not as accessible for most ppl. To sum it up. It’s merely a temporary online terms generated in modern times due to lack of education (non-academic) or poisoned by social media like TikTok (douyin)

Lol its funny how their 'worst' types of guys cover the entire spectrum of guys. Eg too charming is 'oily' and untrustworthy - no charm is 'straight' and boring. Loves his family is 'mama's boy'. Too much confidence is overconfident. Too focused on himself/career is bad - but not paying for her all the time is bad!

My biggest takeaways 1. Mom will always come first. You're #2, even if he says you're #1. 2. Be cunning and independant but don't let him know because it may hurt his ego. 3. Oily has nothing to do with cooking. 4. Straight men can still be gay 5. No woman in the world likes a common man with an inflated ego. This video made me curious to know what Chinese men think of Chinese women?!
