You explained it very well ♡ And I have one dowel perch in one of the cages but there are lots of natural wood perches in there too.. They do use it but they like the other perches more 😌 I heard it's okay to have one dowel perch as long as you have lots of natural perches

This was very informative and helpful! I am currently writing down all the research I have done on budgies in the hopes of one day getting one (or two) and this was perfect to make notes on! How do I stop the natural wooden perch become wobbly? I bought a new wider cage and I can't even tighten it. Need help as my old cage didn't have an issue.

Its probably because the new cage's bar spacing is bigger. You might need a bigger washer if your cages bar spacing is now wider.

@@KiwisFlock the new cage is called imac and most shops are selling them in the UK. The bar looking grill thing is thin which can't hold the wooden perch tight.

@@JuzzyUK I looked at some of the imac cages online and the bar spacing does seem to be small. If it isnt sturdy in the cage, it might be a problem with the perch itself. I would probably make sure that the washers and the screw thing are the right size and are on tight.

@@KiwisFlock it's not sturdy and the weight of the wooden perch bounces. I can even pinch the thin bars together and it can bend with much force
