You can attempt both but can target only one

Simply prepare for CAT rigorously ... Ssc will be automatically covered. But, General Awareness is an imp section for SSC where U have to put a lot of extra efforts... And give mocks of both exams as per ur own convenience. One of my cousins who secured a top rank in Ssc also got a decent Cat percentile of 95.xx in the same yr...
