they consult peoppe and if these people laid off in between they dont anything about otherbthings and do suicide simple . go to iim only if you basic sence of life and qualities like elon musk to face failure and harship and value of money and never give up in life . if you dont have these qualities dont think iim make like elon musk @persistent-s

It makes a lot of sense to graduate as a fresher, even if he gets slightly lower placement than a work ex x person, because, if someone is going for work ex, for a few years, and then go into a top b school, his salary will be lower, who will be getting admission as a fresher, and then work for few years after MBa, for the same timeline, a fresher will have a higher salary

IIM having international brand value for sure. Sometimes few people also don't know about IIT. But this is not mean IIM is not recognizable outside India. In early 1980s IIM used to get international placement than IIT, IIM becomes more visible from that period, this is unfair to say not having value. If value is not there then students should not go to the IIM, should not give the mocks, they should not plan their mba from IIM if there is no value outside India.

IIMs do have brand value especially in india but outside india noone can beat a IIT tag when it comes to IIT bombay, IIT delhi, IIT Madras, IIT kharagpur etc. Most of the people in Top Bschools are from IIT itself. Even check any bschool report they do mention that we have IITians in our batch because they know it will boost their batch profiles as well as placements, companies prefer these guys. IITs created their legacy through their great alumni holding CEOs and top level positions in the biggest companies in the world. Comparing IITs to IIMs is like comparing apples to oranges.

And for your kind information check most of the CEO is from IIM itself . At global level , did you go to check brand value, no na then comparing both is totally unfair. Both having their legacy in their field . IIT known for engineering and IIM is brand for management. IIM comes under top 50 in the world and IIT also having decent ranking. So be mature by mind BcoZ both having equal value globally ok

No na ye sb likhne se you wont be good at make argument and how can you assume that I don't have information related to rankings and industry. it sound so foolish and childish. I myself graduate from a top tier 1 Btech college. Whatever i am stating here is based on fact not like no na ya kuch bhi likhunga like you. Lets come to your statements one by one, You are not comparing but you are demeaning IIT over IIMs. Anyone can see that through your points. I will show you how if you still defending yourself here. Why the hell IITians comes to IIMs right? first of all, Not all IITians go to IIMs. Some prefer harvard, Wharton, INSEAD, Yale etc. I hope you heard these names and their ranking. Then still why some IITians prefer IIMs.? Because they have a very great aptitute which developed through rigorous curriculum and their preparation for jee main and advanced (which is much tougher than CAT anyday). At that age nobody was that mature enough but still their dedication make them mature enough to crack IIT and lays their foundation. Their aptitude skill helped them to crack CAT without preparation or with very less prep like 30 to 60 days. You can find many examples of such people (one of them is in the video). Lemme destory you even more here, Check any IIMs site and placement records, Most of the top tier companies like Bain, Mckinsey, BCG prefer IITians. Check the profile of the people working there on linkedin and find out most of the people have their undergrad from IIT. IIMs prefer IITians thats the reason they join these schools because IIMs know that school value depend on the quality of crowd. IIM ABC have a great brand image I told you in my previous comment but outside india they are not close to IIT tag this thing you should understand. Here I am gonna destroy you again, For your kind information check most of the CEO are from IITs not from IIMs. Do you think before commenting like seriously. Can you do a basic check ? IIT delhi and bombay are top schools which hold the most number of startup founders. Do you know flipkart? Founded by binny and sachin bansal from IIT delhi, Do you know OLA? Founded by bhavish from IIT Bombay. Do you know Meesho, Zomato, Swiggy, Razorpay etc? They are tons of companies. Let's come to aboard region, Do you know the CEO of GOOGLE? Sunder pichai from IIT kharagpur, Do you know the ex CEO of twitter? Parad aggarwal from IIT bombay. There are tons of Indian CEOs leading top companies in the world. I know IIMs do have CEOs but The number is less compared to IITs and 1 more thing check their undergrad, most of them are engineers from IIT, NIT, BITS, NSUT, DTU etc. Yeah at global level, I have checked the brand value and i am not comparing them as both provide different set of skills and education. But when you compare as per recognition, Most people know IIT tag as compared to IIMs. The guy in the podcast also mentioned the same during his trip to the project site. I hope you saw the whole video above. IITs and IIMs hold similar kind of ranking at global level in their respective field and IITs do have ranking under 50. I don't have any problem with you but your statements and arguments are baseless. Both IIT and IIM are wonderful schools in their respective field, A college can't change you as a whole. It's your hardwork and dedication which can leads you to the greater height irrespective of school or college. IITs help you to prepare for upcoming journey. IIMs take horses not donkeys and polish them to race in a horse race by structuring and nurturing.(Deep meaning, I hope you understand) You can comment for any discussion but please mind it before commenting any irrelevent things (I will make you pay if write something bad). I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's in BA and I'm pretty sure that consulting is the path I want to walk on...But, I'm not sure of the probability of me getting into the top institutes for MBA due to studying in a Tier - 3 college... Lost me at CTC cannot be defined and then he goes on to adding work related reimbursement as part of CTC. CTC is cost to the company at the barest minimum, its written on paper offer as well as joining letter

Aim for highest percentile, and target tier 2 b schools. There's a year before CAT, upskill yourself by doing CFA if you're interested in finance, otherwise do smt that aligns with the specialisation that you want to do your MBA in. There's this exam called MAHCET, if you can, try giving that exam too. Tier 2 colleges have placement ls ranging from 14.5 to 20.5, which, I think is not really that big of an issue. Entering the right field is more important. I am not suggesting you to try for tier 1 colleges coz they are a bit picky with past acads. But yes, you can definitely get calls from tier 2 iims, and a lot of other colleges too. It's an uphill battle, yes, but it's worth it. You got this!@@Alter_ego12
