Love the shop. What type of vacuum hose are you using and did you cover it with that sleeve?
@stellarfinish3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It’s the hose that came on the Cox Reel, and I just put a standard vacuum hose cover over it. Cost me $20 I think, and saves scratches on paintwork etc .
@gizmo90063 жыл бұрын
where did you get the polisher wall mount holder? everything looks perfect
@stellarfinish3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It’s a KXK Dynamics PR-2 wall mount , but I used 5 in a row.
@jimcassidy11272 жыл бұрын
Where did you get that pass through the wall for the pressure washer
@stellarfinish2 жыл бұрын
It was from a company called KoldLok. They can be purchased here : www.dataclean.com/canada/c-2-koldlok-raised-floor-grommets.aspx
@gamborg883 жыл бұрын
new sub! Just a question... as far as i can tell, you use the same hose to vacuum and blow the car dry? Arent you afraid to blow dust all over the car??
@stellarfinish3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. It appears that way, yes, but we actually hook up another hose to the blower so that we don’t have to have a huge reel or hose hanging on the wall. It’s stored in another location for space. You are correct when it comes to the vacuum, it would blow debris back out.

the shop is great, can you tell me about the location, like how did you find the shop what are your neighbors?
@stellarfinish2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the like! The shop is home based and the neighbours are fantastic. We operate with great care to minimize noise and disruption. Great effort and cost went into designing the space to limit outside noise and impact.

Most karchers are roughly around 1.3-1.5gpm. Not that much difference in flow comparing 2.0gpm. I think karcher flow would actually be slightly higher if you adjusted and lowered psi so might be somewhere around 1.5-1.7? Nice shop btw 👍

Do you have any links for the products you used in the shop? Example the vacuum hose, polisher mount, lights, pressure washer etc… thank you in advance.

where is the hose that you use for the master blaster? it looks like you hook it into the same vacuum reel that is used for the vacuum? isnt the vacuum hose filthy?
@stellarfinish3 жыл бұрын
We have the hose for the master blaster in another spot, as we don’t use it every day, so it’s stored separately. The vacuum is on its own hose as it is dirty and would spit back dirt if forced with air the other way.

What are the walls finished with? Traditional dry wall or another material? Looking for something that is easy to clean when need be. Great looking shop!
@stellarfinish3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I went with G1S 1/2”plywood for a smooth finish, did some basic patching, and then primed with oil paint, then latex with a low-semi gloss white which is very scrubbable, and easy to clean. All seams were caulked for appearances; I wasn’t going for perfection, rather function. Plywood is way cheaper in the long run with regards to finishing cost, and means you have the ability to hang most things wherever you want, and if you hit it, it doesn’t chip or dent easy, unlike drywall.
@craigsnider99853 жыл бұрын
@@stellarfinish Certainly understand that. Did a great job at finishing it out, honestly would have never guessed that’s what you used just looking at it. Cheap, functional, and good looking! Can’t ask for much more!

Where the water go tho?
@stellarfinish2 жыл бұрын
If you’re asking where the water form the pressure washer drains, we do our washing outside the shop, not inside. There are California drains at the door entrance for the wash water to drain into outside.

Hello. I’m a Detailer and own my own business that was started by my father in 1987. Beautiful work here. Just curious if you could give me a ballpark figure on the cost of your shop and accessories if you wouldn’t mind. Great job. If you wanted to message me off the comment section, that would be great I’m not too familiar how we go about doing that. Maybe I’ll see if you have a Facebook page and I’ll message you there. Thank you, Josh
