I believe the video by Pahaadi Ghoomketu is much more elaborative and detailed , giving real price point on day to day basis. Rest i did the trek recently solo and I loved it

Thank you for this video Nitesh & indiahikes. I am Practicing for November 2024 solo without Porter / guide. So I want to trek light. My 1st query is regarding layers (t shirt 👕 & bottom 👖 ) I bought 1 merino wool top layer and have 2 quick dry trek pants, all from decathlon. I ain’t finding merino wool bottom layer in my budget so is it ok to go for other material like polyester or cotton which is light weight quick dry but not sure if it’s warm enough or odourless like merino wool. (Q2) I won’t be able to carry sleeping bag so how should I layer up for night and for kala patthar early morning climb?

Hi Ravi, I'm glad you liked the video! Regarding your questions, you don't need a Merino wool bottom layer. Your normal quick dry trek pants will do. Second, it is okay not carrying sleeping bag.. you will get warm quilt in every tea house accommodation. November is less crowded and hence can take extra blankets from other rooms. Wear your thermal only for the nights, along with your warm jackets. Climb to Kalapatthar is windy, you will require 4-5 layers on top and wear two trek pants on that day. Wishing you a very successful and safe trek! :)

Hi Dushyant. I have ankolysing spondylitis so I avoid running as it causes sudden jerk in my lower back. But I walk 7 to 10 kms a day. and do some mild muscle strengthening exercises. Can I treki in Himalayas?

There is a much more impressive high trail which goes via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche instead of Tengboche monastery. All trekkers should go up that way and only come down via Tengboche. Idiotic to hike the same trail twice when there is a more spectacular route available.

What are the batch dates in 2024
@humbertsmith88643 ай бұрын
A couple of points: The classic route starts from Jiri...NOT Lukla. Starting from Lukla is the quick version. Many of us have done this classic 1953 route. It is worth covering this. Second point: Thamel is also known as Trekker Ghetto...not paradise.
@karipintakivi91533 ай бұрын
Classic and really classic: Road to Jiri was finished in 1985. Before the road people trekked from Lamosangu. In 1953 you mention, the Hunt Expedition to Everest started from Bhaktapur in Kathmandu Valley! 17 days to Tengboche. Lukla is not classic in any way, you are correct about that.
@humbertsmith88643 ай бұрын
@@karipintakivi9153 Well said....even worse now is that you can jeep almost as far as Lukla. The classic route is also an opportunity to support those lower villages.

It's so sad, that despite having fitness and money I can't do any track because of my government job which doesn't allow me to take this long leave. I am finding a way to financial freedom so I can do all the trek without worrying about leaves.
@Chopper1533 ай бұрын
Definitely you can take a 13 day leave in govt jobs. In private firms, they won't give more than a week of leave.
