Hyderabad is well connected by road, railways and flight.
Travel destination: Golconda fort in Hyderabad
Timings: 9 am to 5:30 pm
Entry fee for adults is 25 Rs, Camera fee is also 25 Rs
Time required : Atleast 3 hours, additional 2 hours for Sound and Light Show
Sound and Light show depicting the history of Golconda Fort starts at 6:30 pm every evening. Basic fare : 80 Rs
History: Kakatiya rulers started building in 12th century (Initially a shepherd's Hill - Golla Konda, after having found a God's Idol)
Later improved by Bahamani and Qutub Shahi Dynasty rulers
Left neglected during Aurangazeb rule
Fort and the view surrounding the fort is awesome.
Must try: Hyderabad Biryani- Paradise Biryani (500 Rs for two people and tasty)
Where did we stay: The Golkonda Hotel - rates are on the higher side (5K per day) and good stay
