Does the fluid syphon out when replacing the filter?

Yes, I've proved removing the filter does create a siphon so clamp the hoses shut before removing it. If you remove the pump housing you have to trash the aluminum tape, clamping is less fuss. I also recommend buying your own fuel line with a larger ID so you don't need heat to get them installed / removed. I've had to cut my hoses twice now (I'm not using heat around solvent) in the troubleshooting process and now they are too short. The plastic fittings going into the filter housing are leaking so I need to replace them with brass too.

Ordered on the 16th, got shipping/tracking info on the 17th and received my parts on the 19th (which was actually amazing since the shipped from Florida and I'm on the west coast... I thought well that'll take a week or more to get here, ...great... but got here fast) -- I just completed my entire install by the end of the night on the 21st. Thanks! Excellent job on this kit.

For all of you that get these though and use the PSC 1000 - be sure and use solid gloves!... I fried my hands and had a real rough night (sick, couldn't sleep... felt real bad)... just from working on the fittings submerged in the PSC 1000 solvent for a pretty short time without gloves. They say it's mild but still, not THAT mild.

Ordered my kit 4 days ago... tracking shows a label was created but apparently hasn't shipped yet. :(

What was your experience getting and installing this kit?

@StreamlineCarry the kit was "ok". Took them 8 days BEFORE they shipped it, then took 7 days to get here. The rubber gasket that goes around the top of the tank (lid seal) has very poor quality adhesive and lasted about 3 maybe 4 days. I emailed the company and they said they've never had an issue. The rest of the parts seem to be ok and having the filter system etc. is a nice addition. Overall the installation is pretty straight forward but again, the supplied gasket is garbage. Just my 2 cents
