The key indeed is diversification. Personally, I delegate my day-to-day investing to a license professional, cos my job doesn't permit the time to analyze stocks myself. Thankfully, my portfolio has now 5X in 5 years, just about 10% shy of $1m. Stay motivated friends.

IDK, the level of bullishness this week has gotten to a parody level. People making all sorts of ratios and weirds arguments to why things will go to the moon. It's unhinged. According to Wall St, the economy is the bestest ever because one chip company didn't lose money this quarter, Tesla is having another even next week, and Zuck made some eye wear. The issue with your ratios and many of the charts I see out there this week are that they are all "proving" things will basically go to the moon. Yeah an upper band can show we "need" to go to SP500 to 6000. But then when it gets to 5900 it will show we "have to go to" 6200, ad naseum, until stocks are 2X and homes are 2billion dollars and everyone is priced out of daily life. I feel in my gut that the job report is going to cause such a negative reach the market is not prepped for. Just like last month and August. Why do I think this? Unlike most traders, I am middle class. Still occasionally looking for a job. Everyone has hiring freezes, no promotions, coworkers who left not being replaced. Ads being fake, no real hiring. I've seen many real jobs go to India. So....when this all hits the rich people on Wall St., it will be a new shock to them, "What do you mean no one's actually hiring, the economy is great!" Yeah, if you can live on working 20 hours a week doing food delivery.

Couldn't agree more. This guy, while I have learned a lot from him, is a bit out of touch with the real world. Keep in mind he has been trading for 25 years and I believe he is an ex institutional trader also. So potentially he has never had to be in the real world at all. Never had to start from the ground up. Probably never had to work construction or stack boxes at some warehouse and bust his ass for 10 years to finally make a good living and to watch it instantly annihilated by immigration (increased housing prices) and inflation. But that's alright. The delusions of the market are a good time to make money as well as when the market wakes up to reality..

The levels of everything are at pure insanity levels, nothing about these markets or this economy are sustainable or even make sense. Are all first time homes going to be a million dollars? Are these companies going to be worth 50 trillion? Is the dollar worthless? The markets need to come back to reality or we’ll have a reverse market crash and become Argentina 2.0 and be a 3rd world country. Best of luck all!

Maybe people feel like it’s a recession because prices are higher and buying less. Also higher unemployment. But corporations are measured by revenue, which higher prices in tandem with lower labor costs will boost profits temporarily. I think this is the current disparity between wall st and main st and is only temporary.

Two things I have learned from you that I am now doing that has switched me from losing on nearly every trade to break even or make money on most trades. I used to wait for candle close above the 9 and most times it flips back and goes down to take out my stop loss. I now buy the dip and watch it "flip", then put stop loss at the bottom of the previous candle wick. The other thing I am doing is watching the histogram and waiting for the red to turn lighter color and steadily getting smaller to the zero point. Great tips.

I think people feel like it’s a recession because there are more and more that are having to work multiple jobs just to maintain their day to day lives. I also think that people will eventually get burnt out and decide to eliminate more and more expenses

Not in a recession but it’s coming and not the far down the road. Don’t worry though there will be a ‘unseeable’ crisis though to blame it on. 1/3 of the working age population doesn’t even participate. More like a 35% unemployment rate. Maybe the credit cards will keep expanding credit limits like the gov’t does and it will all be ok, or perhaps some more helicopter money. I don’t care either way, we make money going up nor down but the clock is ticking. Retail sales were ok because back to school but next couple reports should be glaring. Never mind that, the numbers are fixed. I’m sure it’s great in your neck of Miami, but come on man, don’t miss the forest for the trees
