In this episode, we bought Indian street food from Chowpatty Chat Co. in Houston... but there is a catch. This time the food isn't for us, it's for complete strangers!! We have a passion for sharing Indian food with people, so that's exactly what we did. We bought Mumbai street food and hit the streets looking for adventurous people to try Indian street food for the first time!! We let them try Vada Pav, Sev Puri, Chowpatty Sandwich and Pani Puri. It was so much fun to watch our new friends try Indian food for the first time!! We hope you enjoy these Indian food reactions!!!

Really nice to see a reaction video. I enjoy how the food testers relate the taste with a comparable from American cuisine like Sev Puri is similar to Nachos/Tacos, Vada Pav was like Crabcake. Would like to see more of such videos every now and then.

The best part was that all of these were completely vegetarian and they didn't even notice! :) As you were saying, these just about scratch the surface of Indian street food. If that Vada Pav was tasty, the Dabeli would have knocked their socks off! And then there are the samosas, blah, blah ... I'm sure you will have a blast in Mumbai and Delhi. There was this other group vlogging who went to Amritsar and tasted the Amritsari Kulcha. Just blew them away! You could spend a lifetime here and not cover all the types of food. And then there are tons of dishes that my grandfather's generation had that have been all but forgotten by now !!!

Chad n Joy, I have eaten loads of Vada Pav but my personal favourite is done by a guy near Fountain, in Bombay. The crowds that throng there to eat his vada pavs keep coming in droves. After putting chutney, he slathers it with some red powder masala and then pops in the freshly made vada. It is heaven!!!! Spicy, and once I had my gut filled with about 8 of ' em, I wash it all down with freshly squeezed sugar can juice by a guy who seemed to have tactfully and purposely set up his stall just beside the vada pav guy. If you take a cab from Churchgate station and head down straight to VT station (do not let the taxi guy deviate), he has to head straight. You will find the vendor on your left, selling this stuff on your left on the pavement / footpath / kerb. You may also find a guy selling used books like Popular Mechanics, dictionaries, biographies etc etc. You will not regret it. Being away from India for more than 40 years, going back there with my Filipino family, is on my bucket list.
