Really been enjoying your videos mate. I recently bought a DR650 and have made a lot of similar modifications as you have and in some cases, got the inspiration from what you did, the screens for bikes is an exact example - looks awesome on the DR! In your video you mention changing the stock seat for a Seat Concepts one, great choice! I have already upgraded mine about 3 weeks ago and I can say that this is a super comfy seat that also looks great. I got the Complete seat, comfort version with carbon fiber sides and the gripper top, it's a ripper!

Nicely done! So easy to make the DR just the way you want it. I bought mine for $2600... I just can't justify the new pricing on bikes like the KTM 790 or of the T7... Still dreaming that Suzuki will come out with something new or revamped soon! *T4S* 👍🍻

Agreed. I think in order to stay around much longer it's going to need abs and run cleaner. New zealand and aus is kicking them out next year I think. Europe did decades ago. Hopefully Suzuki just doesn't drop it completely 🤔

What's your opinion on the quality of the pannier racks from Dirt Racks. Are they still holding up nicely after 2 years?

Hey mate. They are holding up. They are not %100 symmetrical. One is maybe 15mm further forward than the other. I have to be honest customer service for me being in new zealand wasn't great. I had to ship them to a friend in USA. Then have them ship to me. All in all 7/10

It's a "screens for bikes" windshield from Australia. I find it good. Some people get buffeting. I must be the right height as the wind cuts off at my neck leaving my helmet in clean air. I am about 5"11 / 180cm. Hope that helps thanks for watching.

@armadilllo2 жыл бұрын
@@NzJohny Just curious because I did pretty much the same thing to mine, I'm too lazy to weigh it, I need two bathroom scales, one for each tire and only have one. EDIT: I just weighed mine, front wheel on scale then back wheel on scale. Front was 180, back 250lbs,=430lbs. 195 kg. I'm guessing that's about right with all the junk I added. I have bigger heavier steel racks,, sargent seat, and aluminum panniers with half tank of gas, tusk traverse pannier bags with two quarts of water in each one, tank bag, gps mount, bar risers....no wonder I couldn't pick it up on the side of a hill when it fell on my leg🤣. Still 200lbs less than the GS I had. I actually like the DR better than the GS and it was about $20,000 less even with everything I've done to it.
