Thank you, Mike, for dedicating so much time to my favorite judge and prosecutor. Mr. Regier made my day with his objectiion to the highly irregular rescheduling of the failure to appear. I am torn. Although I appreciate the compassion behind Judge Webster's decision, I think the prior failure to appear combined with failing to notify the court personally of the funeral showed she, misguided by her father, has no intention of resolving charges and should have resulted in a warrant. I hope to see what happens next week.

Probably because she *knows* the lawyer and considers it likely he'd be present if he didn't have an unresolvable conflicting court date. I don't think Judge W is in a high-status court so that she could expect other courts to be scheduled around hers. (In contrast, Judge Boyd in San Antonio has a felony court and periodically asserts priority over other courts.)
