It means everything that was originally playing (Desktop sounds, game, Spotify chrome) ect. will come through the virtual input (voicemeeter input). So whatever you were using to listen (speakers, headphone) ect. with now be set as a Hardware out (A1) in VM.

click at the top right A1 and then click the Speakers option then the sound will appear. thats how i fixed mine , I didnt know i could click the thing lol

9:05 I have none of these options 😭 My input options are “Voicemeeter Out 1”, “Voicemeeter Out 2”, “Voicemeeter Out 3”, etcetera. My output options don’t even have different names, there’s just eight of them called “Speakers”

Shouldn't be a problem, just may have some delay.

sure just route everything you want to mod to a virtual output e.g. B1 and then use B1 as input for your voice mod. then you need to set the output from your voice meter as a virtual input. Make sure to disable the virtual output you use (B1 in this example) on this new input.

had an issue where I couldnt clip both audio and mic through radeon relive, through trial and error I finally got it to work, what I did was set my Virtual Cable (the 2nd coloumn in voicemeter) to my B2,B1 & A1 then set B2 as my audio capture device in radeon relive on my game, warzone for example, the virtual cable was set as my sound device.

Hmmm so, i just did what you said to, and instantly, when i pu the audio default to voicemeter input, i just lose the audio. It show on the voicemeter it is running, but i dont hear anything on my headphones. Any suggestion?

It's the only downside. You can shorten the delay by lowering the buffering, but it may cause audio glitching.

If it shows 44 Hz in VM, it's because that's its default in sound settings. Click on Open Windows Sound when selecting an input to get there or from sound setting menu in your system settings. Ensure both the playback & recording Cable devices are set to 48 Hz in the advance tabs. I'd do this for all your audio devices. Restart VM, remove and add the Cable and you should be gtg.

Sorry for the delay. It will but it's really only good as an output for recording, or you'd have to use your channel cue through your headphones. There's too much of a delay if you are trying to mix from monitors.

I made everything you show in Setup section... I still have a problem with Input. My mic name is blinking in red color and don't hear it. I use USB SPC Gear Mic... All things work - I can also listen to it "live" via my speakers (with Windows option in properties). I hear everything other in system ... It makes me sooo mad.

We've been using two headsets in A1 and A2 with Stereo 1 & 2 for Game Audio and 3 & 4 for our Mics. Turned on the PC and now the second headset is red and the microphones are red as well. Any suggestions there because this is our main source of Dual Streaming Audio for both of us. Let us know if you have experienced where the audio devices just stay red. Thank you!

If I wanted to have TRACK 1 with ALL audio, mic/desktop/discord audio and then 3 individual tracks, how would I do that? I usually have one track combined so when I rewatch footage I can quickly hear what was going on, instead of switching between individual audio tracks on VLC or painstakingly dragging them into an editor.

You could do that, by using B1, B2, & B3 as separate outputs and 1 singularly. OBS would allow you to record while having separated tracks. There should be plenty of vids on how to do that with OBS.

Great question! Although it’s not entirely necessary, until recently routing the aux or virtual input wasn’t as easy. I still feel it’s beneficial as a free virtual device and provides additional flexibility. The cable works better with standalone programs like Discord that have internal input/output options whereas Spotify and your browser don’t. It just makes it easier to work with and gives you more options.

I am very confused with all this. hopefully I want to use output of my speaker for the midi piano bec the VM cable or aux makes a slight delay for me, but for the sending that piano midi i wanna send it to the student, and exclude his sound. Do i need to use obs for this

I can use OBS, it's great but i wont stream directly from OBS bec i dont have graphic card and it takes up huge load on the processer so i can just use obs for creating the scene if that can work with audio and scenes through obs without streaming from it. I just wanna do live teaching on google meet.

I'm the kind of guy that wants to be able to hear my own voice while talking, helps prevent me from yelling because of my headphones..The problem is the slight delay when i select A1 to hear myself...years ago using Voicemeeter banana i was able to accomplish near perfect low latency where i could hear myself without delay, i was selecting the WDM input exclusive mode in the system settings to make this happen. Now it will not let me enable it. I was wondering if there was another way to do this. Hope i made sense with my explanation.

VM is not ideal for mic monitoring at all unfortunately. Are you using a USB mic? or and audio interface?

It’s been replaced with B1 or B2, wherever your mic is set to in VM. You’ll only see it in your Playback, which will be all your desktops sounds.

Did a little research and checked it out myself. From the looks of it, you could set the audio source as your B1 or B2, wherever you have your mic. Then I would use that Cable as an Output Destination. Similar to how I setup Discord in the video. Then everything should come through OBS as I’ve set it up.
