Hey hey, yeah most institutions only have the PGCE to teach high school. Not sure if there are other places. When I typed online PGCE was not google these are the institutions that came up

Is there a faster way than B.Ed if you have a B.A degree with no teaching subject e.g like bridging course . Or is it better to just do B.Ed ? Any info on this anyone? Thanks.

Hi Namhla, if you want a route quicker than the 4years B.ed then your option is PGCE or other teaching certificates from international institutions

Hi I’m not sure hey, wasn’t even if I could get an exemption. Exemption is at their discretion, pop them an email and see what they say. Do also ask if there would be any repercussions from you not doing all the required hours of practicals 🤓

Which ever institution you go with make sure it is internationally recognised 🤓 people are already teaching abroad with their Bed and PGCEs from SA with no issues 😋 just note that some schools are picky on the institution- like Unisa - some schools in the Middle East don’t take teachers with a teaching degree from there as it’s a long distance institution.

Hi Benedict, from the research I did it needed a bachelors. But I could be wrong. Double check with the institute you are interested in. If you go onto their site it will list the minimum requirements. Alternatively you can call them or email them 🤓
