Great starter kit video Teppo, thanks :) I started my channel years ago, but was on and off, due to birth of my two daughters. Last year I was able to find a rythm between job, family and YT. And last week I was able to hit the 1k sub milestone with monetising - also thanks to Arnulfur motivation call + the X100VI hype :D Now I want to keep going and aiming for 10k subs along the journey and your videos help to fill up the strategy tank :)

Great summary man! Well thought through and so much thought and great tips in it! To safe some money i would recommend a cheaper mic like the Rode video micro to plug right into the phone and maybe Davinci Resolve to edit, since it is free and also works on Mac and PC.

Those are good options too! Final cut Pro is just more user friendly for beginners vs Davinci

Works too! But still have range issues so I find if u want more flexibility and want to film from farther away you can use wirelesss microphones

I tried filming a video with my microphone but it didn’t work - I needed a camera to get moving images, and *then* I could use my microphone to improve my sound … Teppo talks about audio as his second point, after talking about the camera that *everybody* has access to, upgrading to better audio is what you do after you have your chosen camera in place, be it a phone or dedicated cam :)

That is, why i cancelled after a few minutes. Simply, because it was too uncomfortable, and I think, I am not alone with this. Normally, I would forget he whole thing, but I wanted to be of help with my comment.
