"Think about it about it a little bit, because I want to make sure you're okay with it." I love that so much honestly. I know you ask every video but that one really made me smile. Dr Doug Willen says Consent is Sexy in every video and he's damn right

What an absolute sweetheart. She is such a tolerant, bright lady! She kept lookin to her Dad/ packleader for reassurance but as soon as he told her 'its okay' she believed him. That tells me so much about their relationship. As does his immediate action when she was having issues. I might be tearing up a little as I type this because of the happy ending. It never ceases to make me smile seeing a human bonded at that level with a pup. Well and Dr, Doug I love always how thorough you are, how much of a detective as well as a chiropractor too, not giving up until the solution is found.

What a little doll she is! And what a big difference you made in her mobility! I'm glad that Lola's dad brought her to you instead of going straight for the IVDD surgery. She looked so happy trotting down the hallways with you, Dr. Doug. Good work! Dogs are the best.
@DeadlyChinchilla10 ай бұрын
IVDD is so common in Frenchies, Corgi's too. Unfortunately an adjustment session or sessions won't cure it. You can change the environment to limit its development, but you often end up with a paralyzed dog. PLEASE when buying these dogs, INSIST on getting their genetic reports (or the genetic reports of their parents). Most of these disorders require a marker from both mom and dad dogs, so if they both show markers your puppy is at higher risk. If one has a marker and one is clear of it, the baby should be fine.

Oh Lola, what an adorable face she has. I'm wondering if a disk may have moved out of place and bruised the spinal cord causing swelling. I'm also wondering if they gave her any steroids to help bring it down and of course time would help the swelling go down as well. For a dog that could not walk at all five days before she certainly is moving very well now.

My previous dog was almost paralyzed by IVDD but recovered after surgery, this video is hard to watch. The vet said to get an MRI to see if the dog needed surgery, so they can assess the stage of IVDD and then decide what options are available. Please get the MRI to at least to know what stage your dog is. If it is IVDD stage 4 or 5, that would definitely need surgery immediately or else the dog could become paralyzed. If it is lower grade they would advice a treatment plan not surgery, which the most important step of is rest. If they don't get enough rest the damage to the discs will only worsen. By the look of it Lola might be in stage 3 which causes partial paralysis (paresis) and results in the dog walking in staggering or uncoordinated movements. Thus she could be unable to move one day and seem improved 5 days later but still with difficulty moving. You can't heal a herniated disc by simply releasing synovial fluid to create a cracking sound.
@triciac10192 жыл бұрын
You can possibly relieve the pressure on that disc with chiropractic treatment.
@duncano88092 жыл бұрын
@@triciac1019 Oh well don’t bother with the MRI then, just ignore what a vet suggested because Tricia on you tube said a chiropractor will fix this.
@triciac10192 жыл бұрын
@@duncano8809 I never said don't get an MRI. Not good to make assumptions.
@duncano88092 жыл бұрын
@@triciac1019 considering your response to this very specific post was just to throw chiropractic care at a dog that probably needs urgent medical care I’m very correct to make a whole lot of assumptions about what you said.
