really easy to get your tach reading from the alternator one wire to 1 pole in the alternator and your good if you are doing a 1 wire alternator its a piece of cake to hook a wire up while you're in the alternator. id get rid of "fred" thats what we called the older computers in automotive tec college the crank position sensor is where a lot of people hook the tach to and they are junk ! the less electrical crap you put in the better off it will be dependable wise ! that 12 v doesnt need much and its rolling thunder . the lights blinkers and wipers are really all anybody needs. ive got a push button starter too i got a carbon fiber toggle switch panel from evil bay has a red cover toggle a engine start button and 4 toggle switches for other stuff. headlight switches always go up in smoke so i toggled my headlights , lift pump , and wired the start button direct to where the starter relay plugged in . what a crappy system dodge put in these ! they really were trying to sabotage a great motor !
