Amazing work, I bought an 92 Prelude as my first car, it was sitting for a few months and the previous owner did swap the engine to an modified h22, it originally was a 2.0. Although he did a great job there still a lot of things to do. Sadly I fell in a deep dpression around the same time and wasted all my money because of an bad addiction. I went Rehab and in a psychiatric treatment center this year and this video just made me so happy and motivated, now I can't wait to save some money and finally work on my Prelude. I really appreciate your project (sry if my English is not the best)

Good job on getting your life turned around. Keep your hands and head busy. Get out there and start working on the car as often as possible. If you take time off, you lose motivation, and it's hard to get started again. If you have any questions about what I did, just ask!

Enjoyed watching this. I just bought a 96 si with a blown h23 due to hydrolocking hilariously enough from being driven through a puddle. H22a sitting on deck. OEM black car. Want to have the abs deleted, proper a/c delete, and a wire tuck performed. Watching how you shaved the bay and how you went about tucking the harness I found helpful.
@FullThrottlePerformanceMike2 жыл бұрын
Dude it was so much work shaving this bay. I shaved the bay in my chevelle and it was a walk in the park compared to the Lude.... however it was 100% worth the effort, it looks so good. The harness is another story too haha I have done a few other whole car wires and the Prelude was so much more involved. But a basic engine bay wire took would be the way I would go again. Been hunting KZbin for about the past year trying to find ideas on what to do with my 92 si and by far this is the best video I've found. My question is how can I find information on what can be deleted etc. I'm trying to end up with a very clean and simple engine bay and I think that's the main goal. I'd appreciate any help, I'm working with an h23a3.
@FullThrottlePerformanceMike2 жыл бұрын
I have a few other videos where I go over what I deleted and how I made the harness. I think the biggest thing is to make your harness and hide/tuck all your wires. Little stuff like running wires under the intake make a huge difference. Check out my Project Prelude Playlist for more detailed videos on what I did for each area of the car

Bummer on the glass. In about '09 I bought a '93 prelude for $200 that the p.o. I think threw a rock through the back glass when he had a bad day. . I went to a junkyard where they pull the parts and stock them. The desk guy was surprised when he looked and they had 2 old rear windscreens. ($100) I took it to my mechanic and said fix her up so it will pass inspection. ... $1000 later she had a sticker! Ouch. But I loved that car for 20,000+ miles . Miss her a lot. Especially the interior(the digital gauges) except no arm rest! Rust spread until it was worth fixing the exhaust and brakes.
@FullThrottlePerformanceMike2 жыл бұрын
Yea the back glass had to be shipped in from a state or two away and was like 380 bux plus install. I wish I never would have sold my first lude but life happens. I built this one to match or be the car I wanted back in the day. It's a heck of a fun car I just to spend a few more bux to get a new computer and I can really have some fun with it.

That's tough to say. I have been collecting parts for years and did all the work myself. If I had to give you my best guess the last phase (stuff I videoed) was about 8 grand. The total of the "collected" stuff 5 lug swap, rims, parts cars, engine would probably be somewhere around 4 grand. So 12 grandish and I still don't have a hood

I used to own a 93 Prelude 24 years ago in high school. I sold it to get a truck for work. Im looking to get another one for a project car. Is it really hard getting parts for these cars nowadays?
@FullThrottlePerformanceMike7 ай бұрын
I owned my first one about 22 years ago and sold it to get a truck for work also. Never should have done that. Yes, nice parts are hard to come by, and they are expensive. But there are always a few of them being parted on Facebook groups. You won't find an aftermarket metal hood they don't make them anymore thats why I went with a carbon fiber hood. I would still recommend getting one they are just such cool cars. They were way ahead of their time in the styling.
