Completion of capital dredging works at Port of Townsville Channel Upgrade

Hall's backhoe dredge, Woomera, joined various tugboats in ceremonially marking the last bucket of material dredged as part of the Port of Townsville Channel Upgrade project in March 2024.
Hall removed 3.4 million cubic metres of material from the Platypus Channel and the adjoining Sea Channel, with the works enabling trade, defence and cruise ships up to 300 metres in length to access the Port.
