As a 52 year old artist who grew up in New York. Born in El Barrio, raised in Flatbush, I have to say that this is the culture! This unity, this love, this remembrance of friendship is the culture. Kerwin, ASAP Mob, all these young men give me hope that the culture will live on and evolve into something that brings us together in more ways than music and fashion, just pure love.

I remember the day V died I was in Chicago and I cried for a week straight. I never met him in my life, could barely afford his pieces but I always gained the knowledge he shared, and viewed the compassion he had towards his peers and fans. I cried because of the impact he TRULY had even from a distance. He really put the batteries in our backs of seeing life in a different lens creatively and enjoying it with the others who reciprocate the same.
