That is a really cool project / design. Nice work!

This is super cool!! I'm thinking about making a robotic arm gripper with load cells in series with the actuator to measure gripping force, and this seems even cooler to make! I assume you calculate the force based on the spring constant of the tension spring you're using?

what are the advantages of the output arm being elastic? wouldn't the loose coupling make it harder to hold its position?

i checked your article in hackaday, you saved me some time trying to learn about compliant actuators, now my question is what hall effect sensor did you use, and also can we get access to the code thanks, also is it unipolar or bipolar( the linear hall effect sensor)
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
It's a ratiometric hall effect sensor. If you send me your email, I can send you the code but I will admit it isn't well documented so you might not know exactly how it works. I'd probably recommend trying to recreate the code.

AT-ST Walkee joints? Seems like a if a few talked to each other it could stand

Interesting. That could be a possible future project.

How does one start in robotics?

I mostly watched videos on KZbin by experienced creators. Looking at tutorials helps as well. Honestly most of knowledge comes from something that I have watched.

Hi man, I'm a robotics student and a compliant actuator will be really useful for my current project. Can I kindly have your email to ask some questions?
