At 17:10 does he use bearings to connect the blue part to the black part on the left? Because it still moves but you can see that he tighten it with a screw and self locking nut, so why does it still move freely? Do the two parts just rub against each other?

Wow, awesome engineering. Hello from Ñew - Brunswick, Canada. I am restoring a 1960 harvester thresher, lots of backlash with 43 pulleys.

How the heck do you learn all the math and formulas to remember. I'm just now learning to code and use fusion 360. I watch you and it makes me feel so stupid, maybe I shouldn't have bothered trying to learn tech stuff.

You talk about the negative aspects of gear backlash - yet the cord used in a capstan drive is elastic. Most of the time, elastic enough to make the argument of gear back lash impacting accuracy moot. Also... how about efficiency and resistance to movement of the capstan drive?

making it jump is boring. what you need to code, is a proper landing algorithm that uses recuperation to dampen the impact to a minimal stress on the leg and actuators... and ofc to expand the batterytime of the robot, if you ever build one. and your issue with the reduction ratio... maybe has to do something with that problem explained there: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIarnIepYq6jnMksi=TafCwjT5vI9Arypf maybe?

We use this type in tuning the radio, turning the dial knob will rotates the variable capcitor GANG Capcitor. Both are connected will the nylon cotton thread with the tension spring. It will not slip for multiple decades

not sure which radius you are using for your 8 to 1 but since it's the rope actually moving, could the difference be explained by the thickness of the rope? Eg the reduction would be in relation ro the exact amount of rope moved by 1 turn, which might end you up with a slightly different reduction depending on which radius you used for the smaller roller thing.

Hi, I love ur Videos so much and also bought 90kv Eaglepower motors. I have got a question about the motors specifications because the datasheet says that they need a 12s lipo and in peak 22 Amps. So how can you power 12 of them with 22.2V and 5.2 Amps. Maybe that’s a stupid question but I would be very happy about an answer.
