I always thought the legend rule caused you to "sacrifice" one of the cards. Considering the shenanigans that went down this game it appears that is not the case so i guess you learn something new every day.

The Legend Rule is kind of a state based action instead of sacrifice so the don't sacrifice clause does not stop that from happening :D yep shenanigans did happen and I just wanted to give people a gift :D

Because, Phyrexian Metamorph can't convert, in this instance it is a better Slicer than Slicer himself because you can choose not to pass it around while simultaneously being able to Legend Rule the actual one?
