the bassline in this is actually one that has been used in random encounter battles throughout the series, and it's interesting to note that this bassline was not used for random battles in FFVIII, as if Uematsu intentionally saved it specifically for this track in the game

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, but maybe we should treat Premonition, Legendary Beast, Maybe I'm a Lion, and The Extreme as four movements of one composition, similarly to Dancing Mad.

this is a great point - even though premonition plays during the witches battles a little earlier I remember it the most as the first phase of the boss

Premonition plays against Edea 1 and Edea 2, because Ultimecia is possessing her then. Legendary Beast only comes into play the moment Griever uses Shockwave Pulsar. If your party is strong, you hear basically nothing of it, since if you take him down fast enough he only uses it as a death revenge move. Which is kind of a shame, since that song is rad.

@@CorvoPuc In my opinion itts not that bad actually. I remember playing it back in the days, with not too much of guides available on the internet and stuff. Figuring out the drawing-system and improving with it to me felt like lots of fun actually. By some time you master it, and then it may get a bit repetative.
