As a follow up to the first video on composition, Umar will tackle an often overlooked aspect of composition; the placement of accompanying text within drawings. Often a beautiful drawing is marred by poor placement of text. With these simple guides we hope that it will help you to realise a more polished visual impact, even within rough, everyday sketches

Why there isn't auto-subtitle for this video as in the previous one of composition? Loving this series. It would be even nicer if the auto-subtitle can be turned on.

I think the transition between text and drawing lacks smoothness. There is a disconnection between the two, your gaze struggles to get from text to drawing and back. I would have put the column at the right side, because reading this text now, my eyes get lost at the end of each row, as if falling off a cliff into the white space after. With the column at the right, the eyes stop at the end of the rows, because it's the end of the page, like in a book, and quickly return to the next sentence = legibility. Also the ends of the rows are not equal, one shorter, one longer, which again makes it uncomfortable to read. I would choose to break the text into 4 short columns and place them at the top aligned horizontally. Then the eyes would travel easily from top text to bottom image all along the page, instead of making giant leaps from left to right in landscape mode. Not the greatest example of working typography imo. You positioned the text as if it were an image, ignoring the legibility completely.
