I am an engineer, and I like to draw a lot of my ideas out by hand sketch first. Younger coworkers laugh at this, but I find that hand sketching gives me more of a "feel" for what I am designing. This is difficult to explain, but I am sure (based on your video) that you understand what I am talking about. Great video!

I´ve made this decision this year that i would sketch at least one thing/ideia a day, not caring for the quality, but more for the process. Now, i´m almost drawing 2 to 3 sketches a day, like you said: to replace this urge to check social media( i even don´t look anymore, just in the bus going or coming back from my university to check the architecture news and the people or office that inspires me hahah) and switching sketching styles. Well, in the end i´m finally starting to get pleased with my sketching now hahahahhah. I know everyone says this, but like always, you inspire a lot! Cheers from Brazil!

I'm happy that I've come to a point in my life that I get to do things because I want to not because I am forced to perform for renumeration. Thank you for your videos and all the hints and helps you provide. They have helped me enjoy these types of design drawing as a hobby. A love affair with a pen and paper, a few tools makes the days pass so well and with a rich enthusiam to be better. My father was a self taught design engineer and I have one granddaugther that is making her own name in art and achitectual design and another in fashion art by our encouragements. The future is bright and videos like your's brings in it own kind of sunlight into our lives. Thumbs up 11k!

As a trained fashion designer I used to tell other students that they had to draw every day, home, travel, sitting outside, anywhere . Some asked of it was really neccesary to 'sacrifice' so much time to this but of course if you have trouble with doing this then you should find another job! I began sketching at about the age of 8 and my pocket money went into paper which for me from a poor family was treasure! One night a few years ago I came across a dumpster full of boxes of paper !!! it was raining but I managed to drag home a box despite the rain and walking two feisty Jack Russells ! I imagined what a difference that paper would have meant to me as a child. Lovely video thank you, my father wanted me to be an architect but I chose fashion so I would never be out of work and I never have ! BUT in a way garment construction and architecture are not so far apart are they!

Stephanie Murray I’ve been drawing for 4 years now and The art I draw would not give that impression due to the fact I perceive things differently. You don’t need to draw everyday. I draw so inconsistently it would make an art major cringe. But the results only show improvement with each and every post. This is why I usually tend to fallout with teachers. They expect too much and waste too much time.
