I am so so happy that you are back to the compo dolls. I so admire your work. I strive for your look. I know we should all have our own look, but when I see your dolls, I want that same beautiful look on my dolls. Thanks again. 🤗🤗🤗

Maravilloso trabajo. Gracias

I’m so glad you are showing this. I don’t do reborn but want to learn how to do the composition. Be careful with the straw in the body. There was a restorer named Doty. She got some kind of lung infection and passed away. They think it was from the straw in the body.

A lot of these old type dolls and painted with a led based paint. You should mask up when chipping and sanding them. I would hate for you to get sick. Love your art.

my first compo doll i fixed was the easiest paint removal ever. the paint came off in 2 huge chunks off the head, like a mask it just all came off

You were luck, most aren’t so easy but when the paint comes off quickly it really speeds things up.

What is used for rebuilding or molding and making a new composition doll... I have a Buddy Lee which needs a complete restoration and want to cast some new parts.

I use amazing mold putty to make the mold of hands then pour two part resin into the mold to create hands.

Hi! I would like to know what brand of clay you are using to fix these heads with that doesn’t have to be cured in an oven? Or does it? I was thinking about trying Elmers’s wood putty until I watched this video! I would really value your advice! Thank you!

Question for you??? Is it safe to take off paint off these dolls?? Because of the lead in some paints?? Should a person use gloves or mask??
