@@antmal6039 The unit must have Component Protection Patch installed on the unit to reset the Component Protection every 8h. Also you will need a Quadlock adapter from 40-52 pins. And the USB socket and cable. That is pretty much it..

You need to get component protection removed by a specialist with ODIS or main dealer.

SaajanB you, how have you removed this protection ? Som people tell me VW dealer can not remove this becose the generation of golf 5 are too old. Same thing with Otis ..... the only solution I have found his to send my discovermedia in Germany for 250€ and he can crack the security ...
