@patrickJMT I think it's because many math teachers aren't able to give much attention to sepearte students who may be struggling. Tutors are awesome because they're there to help you learn and go at your pace of understanding. It's much harder to do that in a math class with 10-20 ppl in it. So I speak for all the people you've helped when I say THANK YOU SO MUCH

i have noooooooooooooooo clue what are on the uk exams. : ) however, compositions of functions is fairly basic algebra stuff though (and used often), so most high school graduates would be expected to know it i would think! i would be surprised if you ever met a math teacher who said it is not important to know about it...
