This channel is by far the most helpful for me to understand this CompTIA A+ course. Year 2024 and it remains my go-to channel for FREE knowledge.

honestly, I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone recommend this channel for studying CompTIA A+. When I did research on how to get free content for CompTIA everyone recommended Professor Messer. I watched all of his videos for core 1, studied his notes and did his practice tests and I thought I was ready but then I failed the actual test. After I failed I found this channel and watched your videos of the core 1 tests with explanations and I feel like I absorbed a lot more information, the way you explain things just makes it so much easier for me to understand. Some of the test questions in the video you had were on the actual CompTIA test, and when I went in to write the test I passed this time. For core 2 I decided not to watch professor Messers videos and just watch yours. I also really appreciate that you explained certain topics using your VM because I'm more of a visual learner and seeing you actually perform the task helps me a lot. Thanks for everything you do sir.

Hell yeah. Thank you for your service to the species, BurningIceTech! You are an awesome teacher. I'll be completing this series and then moving on to your Net+ series. I hope to be of service on a more broad scale in the future. But for now, we study. You will be hearing from me again. Thank you^16

Hell yeah! I graduated tech school in 2000 and was recruited before school ended, so I didn't take the A+ and Net+. All this time later, and I am finally getting around to getting certs. So much of the stuff you cover are exactly what I've done over the years and forgot as I shifted industries. Thanks for the free training!

Oh hell yeah!!! I’ve blown through the first 11 mods in less than a week. I know that you’ve taken your structure from CompTIA but the way that you present it is so easily digestible. I stumbled on your first A+ vid by accident and now wonder if I may be a BurningIceTech addict. Hopefully my wife doesn’t arrange an intervention before I get this completed. Lol

I love the way you explain each & every thing in detail & even the hardest topic gets easily penetrated inside the brain without much effort..If simulation was possible on KZbin, then it would have been great but no problem...Also kudos to the lot of hardwork & effort you put to make these videos accessible to persons who can't afford Comptia A+ course study materials like me.👏👍

Yeah sadly simulations is a bit of pickle on KZbin. Could build them to a certain extend elsewhere but that would in most cases cost me money to do so it's a bit of bummer haha

@@BurningIceTech Yeah I know, no worries...Simulation are the reason why study materials are very costly in Comptia. I searched for so long but didn't got anyone teaching A+, then finally i got you. Will give exam once all the modules are completed...

-Compared to other courses online, I think so far I found this one less "robotic" and easier to understand. You share tips druring your videos, what will be asked in the exam and also repeat important informations multiple times so we can remember them for sure! For people who started to discover this field, let me tell you... those courses are for ya! I am still studying but I feel really confident compared to 1 month ago. -Much appreciation😎 nothing to change, just keep going! -The questions I have are: Do you know if ComTIA A+ certificate expires? And if so how long it might last? Do you recommend any App for Android or any online site webs to practice with for the test? Thanks 😉
@BurningIceTech2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment :) Regarding your questions, currently yes the CompTIA certifications expire. This wasn't always the case. If you look at something like A+ for example, up until about the 700 series the certification would never expire so those certs of mine are still valid till this day. From the 800 series of A+ the certifications started having an expiry date on them. The certifications now normally last 3 years from the date when you earned it. So if you write and pass both A+ exams today, then the certification would expire exactly 3 years from now. With the old previous that didn't expire, those you might as well considered expired after 3 years because by them things would have changed so much and you would be outdated so it makes no difference really :) I suspect one of the main reasons the certifications expire after 3 years now is because technology is moving so rapidly. After 3 years a lot of stuff would be considered legacy and then you would also find a lot of new stuff has come out. Regarding Apps and Practice tests I prefer not to recommend anything but if I have to recommend something then I would recommend the official "CertMaster" tests that you get from CompTIA themself. It's unfortunately not free like my course though. You will have to go to CompTIA's website and buy it from them but the perks are, the those practice questions are completely 100% legal since they come directly from the vendor themself plus I've seen those questions and they are really good. They test you on the exam same topics which the exam will test you on.

Can we actually assess some past questions from Comptia, if yes how please?
@BurningIceTech2 жыл бұрын
Apologies I can't help with past or current CompTIA questions since that's unfortunately against CompTIA's rules and policies. I can however point you to some other resources but they do sadly cost money as far as I know. CompTIA themselves offer something called "Cert Master" which is some really good legal practice questions to help prepare folks for the exam. Prof Messer also has some good stuff. I know some of the other folks on KZbin who do CompTIA videos also offer questions but I wouldn't recommend those since they are flawed in my personal opinion. I would only recommend CompTIA's own stuff or Prof Messer I plan on making my own practice questions for my viewers sometime soon which will be legal but it's going to take a bit because I need to make sure they adhere to CompTIA's Rules and Policies and aren't in violation of something before I release them. Don't want to get myself into trouble lol

It DOES feel like the fire extinguisher is kind of thrown into this category. I actually think it fits better in the environmental category. Along with the need for ventilation and the like. As things get too hotter and hotter for whatever reason..... there are ways to deal with each problem, including putting out a fire. I think CompTIA is thinking like this -----> The job of security is to protect. Example: A Wall-safe is a type of strongbox, which can be quite secure. And Safes that are fireproof are more secure then then ones that aren't fireproof. We tend to accept that to be true. The fire extinguisher is the first line of defense in a fire. This can become VERY important in a building that has an automatic sprinkler system. A fire extinguisher could be the difference between between equipment being ruined and data lost either due to an out of control fire, or during the flooding of a sprinkler system.

I think you would be very surprised to find out who is taking this course in terms of where they are from, what they do for a living, age, etc. I had another thought. I sometimes wonder what the future of higher education will be, as colleges and universities lose their monopoly over adult education. Perhaps free, open-source education is the future, and academic institutions will simply set the standard for curriculum, certification, and licensing. What do you think?
@BurningIceTech3 жыл бұрын
I can somewhat see in video analytics where my viewers are from and it's scary those stats. Most are from the USA but the rest are from pretty much all over the world. Countries I've never even heard of if I'm being honest. Age wise I can also see in the analytics that most viewers are between the age of 25 and 30. Many in other age groups as well but my main audience seems to be 25-30. The most socking thing I see in the analytics is the fact that out of ALL my viewers, 98.7% of them are male. That's now for all the courses I do on youtube. How weird is that? xD I'm hoping that going forward more education will be available freely for people. There are a lot of really smart people out there in the world who are really just to poor to afford any form of education and they can't get themselves out of that situation since they can't get an education. It's like a catch 22 kinda thing. I'm hoping to help break that by giving knowledge away for free to those that need it :)
