Hey I’m working through the A+ course right now and just wanted to say thanks for all of these videos. Your videos are the first one where I felt like I was actually being told how things work rather than given large amounts of information to memorize. Happy holidays to you, sir

QaaS actually is a thing, I hadn't heard of it so searched before you finished explaining; it's Quantum as a Service.
@BurningIceTech23 күн бұрын
Yeah it's something relatively new. I saw it too after I sucked it out of my thumb. Did you read up on it? It's just amazing how quickly technology is moving at the moment, kind scary at times even

For question 8, I am confused quite a bit. Your question states 'which of these ports should you *close* to ensure all connections are encrypted?" Your answer states ports 22, 443, and 587 should be closed (green), and ports 23,80, and 25 should be open (red). Shouldn't you close ports 23, 80, and 25 as these are the unencrypted ones (telnet, http, and SMTP), as ports 22, 445 and 587 are encrypted (SSH, HTTPS, and SSLSMTP)?
@Cruzzin247Ай бұрын
Also, question 39...HVAC systems utiliing IOT can also gauge occupancy as to adjust temperatures in relation to whether there are individuals occupying the space, correct?
@alisonmorel4035Ай бұрын
Yeah, I believe that’s an error on his end. Ports 23,25,80 should be closed so they are not open for potential attacks.
@Yahuu199328 күн бұрын
ChatGPT answered: To ensure all connections are encrypted, you should close the following ports: 1. Port 80: This is used for HTTP traffic, which is unencrypted. Use HTTPS (port 443) instead to ensure encryption. 2. Port 23: This is used for Telnet, which transmits data in plaintext. Use SSH (port 22) instead for secure connections. 3. Port 25: This is used for SMTP email transmission, but it does not enforce encryption. Use port 587 or 465 for secure email transmission. Ports to Keep Open: • Port 22: Used for SSH, which encrypts connections. • Port 443: Used for HTTPS, which is encrypted. • Port 587: Used for SMTP with encryption (STARTTLS). By closing ports 80, 23, and 25, and using encrypted alternatives, you can enhance the security of your network.
