Is Katrin’s work burpee just how she does it or a more efficient, quicker, or some tactic to it? Compared to just dropping down?
@tanya-yl1ye5 жыл бұрын
looks like a way to be more efficient. the movement standard for a burpee is that your whole torso, including chest has to contact the ground. if you look at everyone else, their hips, then chest contact the ground, then they roll back through their hips to get to standing. katrin touches down with her chest first so her contact with the ground goes: chest, hips, straight up to standing. it basically removes a step and makes it quicker. i'm assuming that's the rationale, anyway. i hope that makes sense!

GO BROOKE GO! 😍 Thanks CompTrain for another awesome workout and video. I'm looking forward to trying this soon. What would scaled weight be for men? Also, what was everyone's times?
@dvanwagn12635 жыл бұрын
SmokeyJoe024 scale to whatever you need! 155/135/115... 135/115/95... etc... first round should be heavy fast singles if you’re trying to emulate the stimulus

Loved this workout and want to do it at my Gym this weekend. Curious what percentage I would base the weight on? My max snatch is 155lbs. Maybe I should just go with the female weight, but for 16 reps on those first two rounds, I am not sure I am being accurate. Thoughts?
@jpg76165 жыл бұрын
Christopher Tucker ... per her CrossFit page, Katrin’s max snatch is 192. So they started with 70% of her max. (135) next was 60% of her max (115) and finished on 50% of max (95). So if you did the same, try the same rep scheme with 110/95/80. Or 115/95/75 if that’s easier to just remove a 10 each time.

Whenever Katrin goes fast on the burpee she forgets the meaning of perpendicular. She is still very very fit tho, trying to take nothing away
