Looking at purchasing this as it seems faster and a better clean than compressed air cans. The brush attachment looks really handy to loosen stubborn dust on PC components, hopefully it isn't bad to have the air blowing that close to components though?

Thanks for your comment Zupez. I would highly recommend the CompuCleaner; as long as you modulate the air bursts, you should have no problems. Plus, unlike with compressed air cans, there is no risk of liquid deposits. The brush attachment didn’t come with the model I tested. However, I would use this with caution to ensure that there is no build-up of electrostatic charge.

Would this be alright to use on my Laptop, PS3, PS4 and Xbox Series S? Amazon’s page for it said it was for laptops and consoles, but I thought I’d ask here because I found this to be the most reliable review on the product.

Thanks for your comment Prophet. I can confirm that the CompuCleaner is perfect for clearing dust from laptops and consoles. Be careful though not to overspin any cooling fans as this can damage the motors. Hope that helps. 👍

Thank you for the reply! I intended to use the device on its lowest power settings and take a pause every ten seconds in the hope that was the take no risks approach!

Good plan @@PROPHETBLXDE. Another tip is to use a plastic spudger tool ( amzn.to/3F9ucSL ) to hold the fan blades in place while you use the air duster.

Thanks! I’ve bookmarked that search if I go the completely open up approach, because I was going to see if the device still helps without me opening up my machines first. Either way, I’ve got dust covers for afterwards to avoid having to do it so often.

If you're careful @@PROPHETBLXDE, you can use the pointed end of the spudger to secure any cooling fans through a vent without opening up the case. That's what I do with the power supply fan on my desktop and the main cooling fan on my laptop. Hope that's useful. 👍

Thanks for your comment @@stevethea5250. It does heat up a bit if you hold down the power button for more than 10 seconds at a time. But using it in shorter blasts is very effective and keeps the air cool. Hope that helps. 👍

what is the cfm rating?

Great question Zen. According to IT Dusters, the CompuCleaner Original 2 kicks out 100 CFM.

Aren't essentially you just blowing the dust around though? It will just settle in a different place inside your case unless you can somehow blow it out?
@ADAPTNetwork3 жыл бұрын
Great question Tyler. Just like with compressed air cans, it’s important to take the time to blow the dust out of the case rather than let it settle. One of the reasons I rate the CompuCleaner so highly is that it doesn’t run out of air-unlike a compressed air can. So, this is a lot easier to do. Simply direct a few blasts of air at an angle to the case and the dust is blown right out. Hope that helps. 👍

@@ADAPTNetwork Thanks mate, appreciate the reply and advice! I decided to buy it from Amazon. If I don’t rate it I always have the option to send it back.

Hello, do you think that we can use it to remove dust on pieces of collections (resin figurine, statue) if we do not get too close to the object or is it dangerous ( remove paint etc ...)? Isn't that too powerful? because the majority of people use brushes (tamashi etc ...) but it only removes the surface layer, if you pass your finger after a brush stroke: there is always dust and I am looking for a small compressor not too powerful to efficiently and simply remove dust. Thank you
@ADAPTNetwork4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question elo. For sure, you can definitively use the CompuCleaner to remove dust from fragile objects. It is quite powerful, but if you hold it further away I don't think there would be a problem at all. I hope that helps. 👍

Is it 120 Volts or 220 Volts?7
@ADAPTNetwork4 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, thanks for your question and apologies for the late reply. This depends on where you buy the CompuCleaner. In the UK, it's 220-240V (amzn.to/2HwLLP1). In the US, it's 120V (amzn.to/37fv8TI). So it will be compatible with your local power supply. I hope that helps. 👍

@@ADAPTNetwork I bought the 220 volt, absolutely love it.
