You can use the fan to bring in cool air from the front of the PC over the GPU and CPU and exaust it out of the back.... very useful for droping your computer temp a couple degrees
@chrissanne1434413 жыл бұрын
I would love to have that thing that you used to cut the bezel and case through and through. That's got to be the most important tool in making the turbine.

i hate to be a critic but as a ex panel beating student you use about 5or 6 times the hardener that you should of , you may find it will take longer to harden but it wont get cracks in it. but other than that loved your video and I'm gonna give this one a try

@TheMWGriffin Bill Owens is Mod God Supreme. He may not have invented it but he sure as hell has twaeked it and built it into a true art form!
@jvirgreen12 жыл бұрын
Yes, you have to mix the two together for the stuff to harden, but you do not mix the hardener into the ENTIRE tin unless you want to use the whole thing before it hardens. That would be a waste, and this stuff is expensive.
@dastrubinator11 жыл бұрын
Some professional applications really do need the extra threads. There are reasons servers and workstations use i7 extreme and xenon processors. But yea, a 3770k is pretty overkill for games anyway.

you should have put like 3 or 4 fans behind each other to create a turbine effect, also make sure each next fan is smaller then previous in fitted tunnel to create air jet

these people are modders so they make shit look badass. no pc can get this hot but you want ur pc cold not hot,when overclocking it gets hot but then you have water cooling.

Nicely done. Were you concerned with getting lacquer in the fan bearing? Just curious. Was the lacquer solvent based? I thought it might dissolve the plastic unless those fans are resistant. Keep up the good work!
@thegr8133715 жыл бұрын
only thing i would add would be a mesh covering. otherwise you're just asking for dust to take away that cooling performance, right?
@NathanSwift16 жыл бұрын
Is there any performance related benefits from having a turbine fan or is it purely an asthetic modification?

Does the fan-cone/tip help with the actual airflow? Should it not reduce turbulance, or a possible deadspot, in front of the fan? Or am I totaly wrong?

Thats the company that made the case I helped my friend pick out for his custom build (I did most of the work) because he only had $20 (the case was only $15, mine was $140) on him and he didn't want to spend anything more.

@ht448 lol, yeah, it would be VERY STUPID to mix the hardener into the whole tin. I though he did it the first time I watched this too. He didn't though. He was just mixing up the tin for consistency.

@crimescene2511 жыл бұрын
you can only get so far on air.......if you are sitting in an 80f room your computer temps will match no matter how much air is flowing through it. If i was to take a liquid cooled cpu, and an air cooled cpu and place them in a 90F room the water cooled pc will ALWAYS be lower.
