Computer Whiz Kid Cracks And Steals KITT | Knight Rider

A young computer genius manages to crack K.I.T.T.'s sophisticated security system and steal the high-tech car. Michael Knight must race against time to recover K.I.T.T. before the thief can use the vehicle's advanced technology for nefarious purposes.
From Season 2 Episode 9 "Diamonds Aren't a Girl's Best Friend": A self taught computer whiz kid named Randy manages to cracks and steals K.I.T.T. for his older lover Adrianne. All Michael is left with is K.I.T.T.'s intelligence boxed in a portable TV set.

I mean in Knight Rider 2008 at least Dr. Graham told the the K3000 to shut himself down to avoid the whole car being compromised from the outside hacking. I guess lesson learned from the K2000

Even though computer hacking is a common thing of discussion these days this was heavy stuff back in the 1980s as computers were relatively new No pun intended the pilot episode of Knight Rider was cutting edge dealing with computer industrial espionage and I wouldn't be surprised if in the 90s there weren't a few people attempting to be a Tonya Walker trying to sneak out have a computer lab with potentially tens of millions of dollars in computer corporation secrets
