Another question is when I hit the SHIFT then the S-VAR the second time I get /x (for 1) o-(that line on top)x (for 2) and sx (for 3). What does that mean? I got the same answer as in the video but I was just confused!!! Thanks so much if you can clarify this!!!!!!!!

thanks for the kind words...yes, when you have a new set of data, you should clear all the previously entered data otherwise, you'll get wrong results. sorry, i don't have the calculator now, will answer when i get it...

thanks a lot. very helpful video. i have 1 question. you state that in calculator have standard deviation for population and sample. how do we differentiate population data and sample data ? in other word, when do we use std dev for population and std dev for sample. i'm confused.
