The people who grew up loving 3rd generation Country music, like Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, feel the same way about today’s country music. They dislike the majority, but still enjoy a small subset of current performers music. It’s just a nostalgic bias for a type of entertainment you grew up with. It’s going to be the exact same for the teens growing up today, when entertainment continues its evolution, and they eventually feel like outsiders looking in on whats popular.

Ask most Americans why the Puritans came to the Americas, and they’ll reiterate the same propaganda they were taught about “Puritans fleeing persecution in Europe”. When the truth was, they came to the Americas because *they* weren’t being allowed to persecute others in Europe.

What I can safely say is that older movies, especially 90s movies, have much more soul to them than today's cinema. Movies back then had more rawness and didn't feel as overdone. Films today just look far too glossy and digitalised, and many of the more expensive films are now entirely made in front of a green screen rather than on location. Everything's made with a computer these days. Take The Irishman for example. All the ingredients are there to make a new classic, but the whole movie has this artificial look to it. I didn't care for it solely because of its use of digital cameras and shoddy use of CGI.
