I'm a foreigner who really recently started to dig on American talk show hosts. I really find Conan almost a mistake in the algorithm that accidentally got through. An outstanding, talented, nice man. Can I take you up on your link with Letterman though? I don't find a grand connection. I think Letterman is a great host and a quietly confident lion, but not a great oddball like this.

Conan differs from other talk show hosts in that he doesn't just do celebrity interviews...he actually gets down to the level of his co-workers and jokes around with them. He brings a kind of down-to-earth ness with his comedy and I always got a sense of how gregarious he is with his time and energy. Watching him banter and interact with regular people is simply the best.

I feel like Conan was sharing wonderful insight where he touched on maintaining positive thinking and not being afraid of being hurt by rejection. It's clear that his actions of the like brought him well on to where he is today. He is truly a success in the eyes of many.

Coming from the Philippines and watched Conan for nearly 20 years comparing them to Fallon, Corden, Colbert or Kimmel is really a no-brainer. I was 17 then but his jokes are either shallow or deep depending on the situation but I still find him hilarious. The man is a genius and genuinely funny. It is innate and a gift. No offense to the others that feels like a fake laugh or hardly trying. I was so sad to know what happened to him (nbc dropout) but becuase of it, he broadened his horizon and touched other cultures and countries faster than the others (e.g. k-pop and harajuku fashion) He's constantly evolving and very relevant in our times. He also showed him being human by taking care of his staff still. I will always be a loyal Conan Fan. ❤
