I'm actually very disappointed with almost all of the spells. They are either VERY impractical or just provide no benefit. Detecting resources is completely worthless, as they aren't exactly difficult to spot with the naked eye. The light provided by the wisps is not sufficient. The summons are all temporary. The time it takes to cast the resource harvest one, I could almost just harvest them manually. In the time it takes to get the tome upgraded so I can get the bow, I could have just progressed enough to get a starmetal bow with black ice arrows, which does way more damage. When you include the time it takes to progress this, the material costs, the corruption requirements, and the lack of practicality, it's not even worth taking up a space on my action bar. Once again you've made an EXCELENT vid. I just wish the game's sorcery content was equally as good.

I feel ya on this. I wouldn't have an issue with the spells not being combat useful if they made more sense, or were easier to cast. Mousing through that rock menu takes forever (like you said with the harvest resources) because of the ridiculously long animations you enter whenever you cast the staff or cast an escalate. That, and the ritual for harvesting blood is RIDICULOUS. why do we have to sit through such a pointlessly long animation every single freaking time we do a blood? It's like 30 freaking seconds or more!! I usually use that as an opportunity to tidy up my inventory cause it's so annoying! Though the one spell I use all the time is the resource one. If you go into the silver mine with one cast if it you can get well over 10k stone if you position yourself well

Completely agree, what a long drawn-out convoluted mess for little rewards that are temporary and just not very useful. (Not to mention the sorcery updates have made the game even more buggy than it already was) Also completely agree, what a well done EXCELLENT vid. Correction: You get Black Blood from the Child of Jhil Bosses. I got confused with the names. What is your favourite spell and which ones do you use often? If you can give examples that will be even much better

Take into account that mass cull don't apply any bonuses you may get to harvesting, so you get them quicker but you don't get as much as you could doing it manually.

There are some useful spells such as Slow fall, mass cull, summon corpse, call of the dead (if you have no thralls with you and aren't defending a base), elixir of rebirth, call of nergal, transportory stone I was going to say invisibility if you could cast it quickly but it seems you wouldn't have enough time even in PvE making it good only for infiltration. Even then it would usually be better to bring allies. Likewise raise dead for a single zombie seems quicker than getting a thrall but the time limit does ruin this a bit. Abyssal call like the mounts are awful for losing control of them and attacking you. Plus they aren't that strong to make up for it anyway. Weapons and armor aren't great, if they were unlocked earlier than I could see them as viable, but they're too late in the upgrades to be worth the grind. Not to mention the time limit which does seem too short. That wouldn't be a bad thing if you could use pouches to extend the time limit without casting a spell all over again. Wisp doesn't cast enough light Lightning storm is a complete joke

There’s a ton of chest on the galleries in the roof of the the main chamber. Very hard to climb though- especially with no lightning. Think I fell to my death 5 times before I reached the top. Wanna try again with the wisp spell and climbing gear. Lot of nice loot.

Favorite spell so far is call of the dead but I have the Better sorcery mod so call of the dead has a massively increased amount of zombies that spawn. I personally play single player on custom server rules and imo 95% of the spells arent useful at all. In the base game casting takes way to long and only ice bridge, wisp on self, call of nergal, and the abyssal weapons and mounts are the most useful things in particular while the rest are just not good for general pve because of 1 thing or another, and while I dont play live with pvp I can genuinely see that the list shrinks down to the weapons and mounts in particular, Lightning storm im like 90% sure they will nerf and make it basically useless but its also in need of a fix because it shouldnt target the player/player allies and thralls, luckily I had trash zombies so losing 2 of them to the storm wasnt a huge loss for me but what was a loss was when I got struck by the spell too. This is a level 14 tome spell unlock though and its expensive as heck with normal crafting cost while the final level 15 gives you the teleport stones which is basically the best unlock you can get, the only thing you have to get with these though are at least 3-4 dancers on every TP plot since it nukes your hp and stamina bar with tons of corruption.

Awesome video, but it's kinda frustrating that everything is temporary, costs tons of resources and makes you have to juggle corruption. I get that this is supposed to be used to spice up those hardcore pvp servers, and I'm sure many of these tools/spells can turn the tide.. however, I can't help but feel a bit left out. I can't see myself doing any of this content, except the thrall perk re-roll potion.

The teleporters are pretty handy but I don't think I've cast one spell because it seems too clumsy.

There should be one where with stage 20% corruption u can click the kick button to shoot a corrupted orbs that will hurts people more than undead animal and for a little special effects makeup it make them look drain like the stone steal effect

You mention getting the black blood from the midnight grove. As far as I know, you get it from the Jhil bosses.

I think they turned to enemies after about 15-30m. It is indeed weird and I was surprised it happened. I believe I had corruption as well while testing, but I can't be 100% sure. All demon creatures will behave this way. Horse, Rhino, Demon Thrall, etc.. Even the gear you get from sorcery has limited time and they will de-spawn after about 1.5-2 hrs

If you build a teleporter and another group already has a couple teleporters does it link up with them? Or is it only teleporter pads you build that are linked

My understanding is, any teleporter built by anyone can be used by all players as long as it was set to "Ignite" or "Active"

Our guild teleporters link only to the others built and ignited by us. I have seen other players, non guild members, pass through our portals.

I don't understand the part about tome of kurak. What happens if we lose the tome? Can others or clan members use the same tome?

As of right now, you only get the tome when you first unlock sorcery. And if you lost it, there is no other way to get it back. And yes, clan members can use each other's tomes. So technically, only one person in the entire clan needs to have the tome, and everyone can use it to upgrade and unlock more spells

No, he will not. But he will be able to use it to upgrade his own level of Sorcery. Think of the tome as a component, like stones or wood for example. It's just something needed to upgrade your level of Sorcery, but it doesn't have any benefit on its own

Sadly, there are plenty of bug reports regarding Sorcery and PS4. However, most of them are about crashes and freezing. Did you already unlock Sorcery? If so, did you try checking all the possible spells? It's frustrating I understand. Sorry friend. And I hope it can be fixed soon
