Even though bird watching isn’t particularly exciting for some, Conan never talks down or makes fun of the activity or those who partake in bird watching. Conan remains respectful, actively participates, and is genuinely more funny because of that.

Conan is such a fantastic comedian he can make the most mundane activity into a hilarious event. This really shows his comedic chops. It's far easy to read rehearsed comedic lines written by a group inside a studio but to engage in an unpredictable outdoors environment and being witty in social interactions requires a a keen sense of observation, a sharp ear for listening and an active imagination.

I was 12 years old staying up way past my bedtime and was flipping chanels and this segment was on. I thought "who is this strange funny man?" while laughing hysterically. I would there on out stay up late and tape the shows on VHS. Imagine a 12 year old kid staying up to tape this show. Since then I have been a die hard coco fan.
