It's weird to see how strong the Finnish stereotypes truly are. I thought this episode was exaggerated a little too much, but on the other hand, I watched this literally in a sauna.

hes very clearly classy. some people just assume someone whose into comedy cant be classy. which is untrue. the guy is a harvard grad. during lettermans final episode (his episode aired same time) he asked his audience during the opening monologue to change channels. and go watch letterman. as television would not see a talent like that ever again. the guy is the definition of class. hes uber rich and never brings it up. acts poor and broke. rubs his wealth in noones face. is able to laugh at himself. hes a very rare ego less talent.

@@dranzerjetli5126 I would rather say that in a truly socialist (or communist if you will) regime a member of intelligentsia is always suspicious. A factory worker might have a bigger say :)). So maybe a group of hardworking manual laborers might petition the government demonstrating that the Conans show incorporates the spirit of a truly socialist man and has a great anticapitalist vibe, that rings with the hearts of workers and peasants. And then you could market it as: Mao Zedong would watch Conan OBrien Show!

I hold this episode so closely to my heart. I watched it when it first aired (march 2006) when i was doing a layover in Germany for a school trip. I had major jet-lag and I was the only one of my classmates still awake, and so I turned on the tv and put the only english speaking show that was running at 1-2am... it was this episode. Instantly hooked and a huge fan since then. 17 years later i had to rewatch this. I love that it still made me laugh as hard as I did that night.

If it were anyone else but Conan, she might have told him to take them off. But you don't notice things like that when a late night show host from USA randomly shows up at your door. And it wasn't just Conan. There was a crew with him. They were on a schedule. I like to think they would have left their shoes if they weren't so busy. Besides, is wearing shoes inside the house really that common in USA? Isn't it a phenomenon of areas with mostly dry, hot weather? Texas maybe? California?

June DeRose You're more than welcome! We most certainly agree, comedic genius and the best late night host there's ever been. We are working on getting more hard to find Conan up, you should bookmark our (and our sister channel's) Conan playlist at kzbin.info/aero/PLVD73zN2egL6jDK8XWCsOnr2R-2jkjY7M and/or keep an eye on www.reddit.com/r/conan as we'll be posting new videos to both. As for the Dave Franco Tinder remote, that's a newer episode so it's highly unlikely that TBS\KZbin will allow it due to copyright issues, but rest assured we're working on a site dedicated to the best of old, and new Conan. In the meantime check out Conan and Dave Franco on Conan's site: teamcoco.com/celebs/dave-franco no full episode but there is the Tinder remote as well as the Tinder outtakes. Enjoy! :)

@@dentistlinguist6569 The only reason Conan took over was because Jay retired, but he needed time to grow to be as mainstream as Leno. Leno's had a bit of a time advantage and Conan was comparatively fresh. That would have happened had Leno not decided that retirement was boring and he wanted another show, instead of enjoying his fortune in LA with his 100 cars and his garage.

I also don't think Conan would've come back to NBC a second time even if they'd asked him to, the man has dignity. In the end Conan got to invent his own show with creative freedom which went on for many years, going down as one of the greatest late night show hosts in history; meanwhile the Tonight Show means nothing nowadays, it's just another bland late night show in the bunch, nothing special about it.

I spent two summers in Finland (Helsinki). Travelled to Lapland for a 10 days hike, This is a wonderful country and people are awesome. Finish sauna is outstanding. I still remember my time there. Highly recommended to visit , especially for summer solstice celebrations and later for northern lights in September.
