"Wish You Were Sober" is LITERALLY this guy I dated when I got my first apartment (I was 18, now 24) He was incredibly closeted and was always high or drunk. He was my neighbor so we would always see each other and have small parties together. Finally we had this huge fight, and I told him how much I liked him. He sobered up, and now we've been together for 6 years (married for 2). Strange times y'all 😂

The walls Conan puts up upsets me, obviously, the self-deprecation is a defense for the actual problems and events being told in this album that must have affected him deeply. There'd be moments in the interview where you could see his eyes would go glossy, but nope he'd slap that vulnerability with him making fun of himself. It's just sad and hard to watch, I get he wants to be private but it seems like he's running from explaining some of these songs. I can't blame him, but for me, it's almost doesn't feel like Conan gray talking about kid krow sincerely. It's like hard to connect with him when he does that ya know? Anyways, Great album, Great artist and hope he gets better at expressing himself.

I get that but he’s said time and time again that he’s not a very public person so you can’t expect anything from him especially seeing how he’s actually very very open about a lot in this interview and in general that he doesn’t have to be half as open about cause it’s his business and it’s super personal. I mean imagine you being in that chair, would you respond the way you want him to? Vulnerable, stiffly serious or in tears? Lots of people have walls and/or are self deprecating because we’re human. We have self-defence mechanisms, shit is hard to deal with sometimes, more so in public interviews. I don’t completely disagree with you, but it just be like that sometimes you know?
