To answer Jaby’s question of how they find fans like Whitney and Anna, Conan has a weekly segment on his podcast where he talks to fans from around the world. You have to submit an application to the podcast and they pick someone every week to have a conversation with Conan. It also explains why he’s doing rock climbing with Whitney of all things, because the basis of this show roots in him wanting to connect to his fans from different backgrounds.

Conan is very funny and to go to another culture not many people would try that. It was also fun to learn a little about you personally. I've only seen a few of your reactions so I didn't know that Achara was from Thailand. Thanks for sharing. I don't know much about Thai culture besides liking American Thai food.

The first time I went to Thailand, our group was warned not to eat the scorpion, both by our travel agency and even the locals selling them, because they can be really hard on the stomach for people from the west that aren't used to those types of food, so only one of the people in our group tried one, and they were sick for a couple of days after. I did try the crickets however, and as far as I remember, although I wouldn't call them 'tasty', they weren't that bad.

You guys would have a field day watching "An Idiot Abroad" with Karl Pilkington, presented by Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant. Conan's show is a feel good travelogue. Idiot Abroad is where a moaning Brit is forced to see new places. 'Sky 1' also allows reactors to watch the full show so you wouldn't have to cut or condense any of it.

I need to catch up with these shows Conan does when he visits other countries. I always enjoyed them when they were just segments on his talk show. Thailand is a country I'd love to visit if I can. Between the hot and humid climate and Pattaya's red light district, it seems like my kind of place. And I'm willing to try the silk worms and other bugs. It's so weird to me how humans eat animals all the time, but bugs gross us out lol.
